Known issues (updates with bugs being reported)

• Advantech cellular router firmware not being downloaded

  • NOTE that updated 0.8.0 build (0.8.0.1) was released at 2023-12-01. The updated build contains new FW download URL so the issues does not appear there. If you need to identify which build you have on your deployment, look into About menu:
    • Original build Build tag: v0.8.0
    • Updated build Build tag: v0.8.0 (+1) Also, the updated build Build date shows 2023-12-01
  • Details ... the Advantech server with firmware download does no longer offer firmware download on the .cz domain.
  • Workaround ... As a server administrator, update the Advantech server address in the download script (download_fw_advantech.sh) - the required change is to change the .cz domain in the address to the .com domain. The complete instructions:
    • Open the file download_fw_advantech.sh in your deployment directory in a text editor
    • Locate the line specifying the URL (line number 14) saying:

      URLBASE="https://icr.advantech.cz/firmware"

    • Update it to

      URLBASE="https://icr.advantech.com/firmware"
